<h4>Unit 1 What’s the matter</h4><h4>第2课时 Section A 3a-4c</h4><h5>教学目标</h5><h6>一、知识与技能</h6><h1>1. 掌握有关健康问题的词汇和句型。</h1><p>2. 培养阅读理解能力。</p><p>3. 完成相关练习。</p><h6>二、过程与方法</h6><p>通过情景设计来激发学生的学习兴趣,并培养学生自主学习和与他人合作的精神。</p><h6>三、情感态度与价值观</h6><p>通过阅读、理解课文,培养学生乐于助人的品质。 </p><h5>教学重点</h5><p>掌握重点句型:What’s the matter (with…)? I have / He (She) has a fever. You / He (She) should lie down and rest.</p><h5>教学难点</h5><p>第三人称单数谓语的正确使用。</p><h5>教法导航</h5><p>创设情境,帮助学生更好地理解课文。小游戏,两人或多人小组活动。</p><h5>学法导航</h5><p>以学生为主体,调动学生的积极性去主动探求知识。</p><h5>教学准备</h5><p>图片,视频,练习。</p><h5>教学过程 </h5><p>Step 1 Greetings</p><p>Greet the class as usual.</p><p>Step 2 Revision </p><p>Ask the students to act out as many dialogues about health as possible in pairs.</p><p>Step 3 Discussion</p><p>Show the picture of an old man lying on the side of the road and ask the students to guess what happened? Help the students to answer:Maybe he was seriously ill. He may be knocked down by a car. … Then ask them:If you meet with this situation,what will you do? Ask them to discuss in groups. Then ask some students to report their answers. </p><p>Step 4 Reading </p><p>Say:Read the passage please and answer the questions:How did the bus driver and passengers do with the old man? Do you think it comes from a newspaper or a book? How do you know? After several minutes,ask some students to report their answers.</p><p>3b Then get the students to read the passage again and check the things that happened in the story. </p><p>Step 5 Pair work</p><p>Work in pairs and discuss the questions in 3c. Then ask some students to report their answers.</p><p>Step 6 Group work</p><p>Get the students to work in groups to act out what happened in the passage. After several minutes,ask some groups to act it out in front of the class.</p><p>Step 7 Grammar Focus</p><p>Say:When you have health problems,you may say “I have a ...” When other people have problems,you may give them advice like “You should ...” or “You shouldn’t ...” Please look at the pictures on the screen and make up dialogues in pairs like this:A:What’s the matter? B:I have a stomachache. A:You shouldn’t eat so much next time. After several minutes,ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.</p><p>Then show the picture of Ben and say:A:What’s the matter with Ben? B:He hurt himself. He has a sore back. A:He should lie down and rest. Ask some pairs to repeat it. Then show more pictures and get the students to practice in pairs. </p><p>Step 8 Guessing game</p><p>Work in groups. One student mimes a problem and the other students guess the problem and give advice like this:A:Do you have a toothache? B:Yes, I do. C:Does he / she have a toothache? D:Yes,he / she does. He / She should see a dentist and get an X-ray.
