And then practise the dialogue “Good morning/afternoon/evening!” and get the students to guess their meanings.</p> <p>Step 4: Listening</p> <p>Work on 3a Listen and number the pictures 1-3.</p> <p>Step 5: Group work</p> <p>First draw pictures with clocks or suns to show the times. And then get them to ask and answer in groups like this: Good morning/afte

rnoon/evening!</p> <p>Step 6: Video</p> <p>Watch the short video with “Good morning, ...!”, “How are you?”, “I’m fine, thanks. How are you?”, “I’m OK.”</p> <p>Ask some students to translate them and then try to imitate the short dialogues.</p> <p>Step 7: Group work</p> <p>Work on 4a Write the names of the children on page S1. Then write the names in alphabetical order.</p> <p>Work on 3d Then choose an English name for yourself. Then greet each other.</p> <p>Step 8: Listen and repeat</p> <p>List out the letter A /ei/, /æ/ on the blackboard and encourage the students to say out what other words a1 so make the same pronunciation. Give them some tips. Present the other letters the same as the 1etter A, then E /i:/, /e/.</p> <p>Step 9: Listening </p> <p>Work on 4b Listen and repeat.</p> <p>Step 10: Pair work</p> <p>Work on 4c Work in pairs and read the letters and words in column 1.
